Who We Are: Founded in 1975, the AHCC is a member-focused business organization and we are proud to be one of the largest Hispanic chambers in the country. Our members are the core of everything we do and you support our organization by collaborating with us in a variety of ways. We constantly strive to anticipate and meet the needs of our members in order to support your businesses in a dynamic way. These efforts have driven us to develop AHCC into a strong organization – we are a force in the community, driving business and economic growth in unique and unparalleled ways. All of these efforts combine to improve the economy of both Albuquerque and New Mexico. In addition, We believe the ABQ is red and green, fry bread, biscochitos, turquoise, mariachis, the Mesa, the bosque and the Sandia’s. AHCC is the only Hispanic chamber of commerce in the U.S. with a Convention and Tourism Department. Tourism and travel is one of the most critical economic development drivers for Albuquerque and is New Mexico’s number two private sector industry. With this in mind, AHCC formed the Convention and Tourism Department in 1976 and has taken a very strong role in promoting tourism in Albuquerque in order to meet its mission of economic development for local businesses. We believe that children are the future and supporting our youth is critical to maintaining Albuquerque’s growth. In our efforts, we offer scholarships to deserving students every year! We consider this to be one of our most important contributions to the local business community, as we assist in the development of new generations of business owners and members.AHCC is dedicated to connecting with current and future members in all types of demographics. We believe We connect the right people to the right people and that most people are one connection away from achieving their dreams. We are here to serve the entire business community! Growing our membership enhances our program of work on every level. We believe that an educated workforce is vital and increases the number of skilled workers available to the business community.
