Chairman of the Board Message for 2012

Dear Valued Members and Supporters of the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce,
I am very honored and excited to serve as the 2012 Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce Chairman of the Board. I am the owner of Briones Business Law Consulting, P.C., an Albuquerque-based law firm specializing in the needs and services of small businesses. As a business lawyer of 18 years and small business advocate, I understand the importance of creating a positive environment for companies to not just survive, but thrive. My commitment to AHCC reflects the importance of this Chamber’s role in creating a pro-business atmosphere here in Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, and in New Mexico.
During these times of economic difficulties, the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce is even more important in developing growth and opportunities for small business owners. Ours is truly more than a chamber and has a number of important missions in our community.
AHCC provides workforce and community development and support through the Barelas Economic Opportunity Center.
AHCC offers business networking and promotion, with over 40 annual events to help you make contacts and grow your business.
AHCC offers educational support, with over $1,000,000 in scholarships provided over the last 25 years!
AHCC has a Convention and Tourism Department, which helps invigorate our community by bringing national conventions to our great city.
AHCC is dedicated to supporting the community with access to information about and resources in health and wellness.
Because of these areas of focus, AHCC is one of the largest Hispanic chambers in the United States. We have built and are continuing to build on the hard work of those who came before us.
