Small Business Person of the Year to be ANNOUNCED!!!
CEO Message for 2011
By Alex Romero
Dear Valued Members and Supporters of the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce,
With a new year upon us, this is a time to look forward to new opportunities as we serve our members and our community. It’s an exciting time for us, for our city, and for our state. I am excited for what this year will bring as we continue to build on the services we offer our members and constituents.
This past year was one of growth and transformation for the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce. We opened the doors to our expanded campus and we take pride in the fact that utilization of the Barelas Economic Opportunity Center has increased three-fold. Our beautiful campus is here to serve you and it is both exhilarating and humbling to see it bustling with life!
This chamber has always been about people. Our commitment is to the community and we continue to design our program of work around the needs of the people we serve. From our scholarship program to our workforce trainings, everything we do is aimed at the betterment of our economy at every level. I take great pride in representing this organization and passionately believe that Albuquerque is a better place for our chamber being here.
Our board of directors is comprised of some of the most talented business people in New Mexico. They represent you and your interests, and are the guiding voice for our program of work. It is through their innovation, and that of our members, that we will move forward.
Serving the community is what we do and working with members is a privilege. My door is always open and I look forward to personally welcoming you to our wonderful campus. I invite you to visit with us and share your ideas! It is an honor to serve you and I want to encourage you to take full advantage of everything we have to offer.
We also want to extend our best wishes to Governor Susana Martinez, the nation’s first Hispanic female governor. We look forward to working with her and her administration.
Thank you for your support of our great chamber!
Sincerely,
Alex O. Romero
