About Canyon Club at Four Hills

Picture
The Canyon Club is situated between the Sandia Mountains to the east and the Rio Grande River valley and the City of Albuquerque to the west. With its classic spiral design, the course provides golfers with stunning views of both the mountains and the City of Albuquerque.

The par-72 course, featuring mature tree-lined fairways, stretches from 5,659 to 6,767 yards. By current standards, these yardages may seem short, but there are several reasons why “Old Man Par” is tough to beat on this course! The course is situated on rolling terrain extending down from the Sandias, so virtually every approach shot has to be made from an uneven lie. The majority of the greens are elevated and all are well-bunkered. Moreover, even an expert putter can be befuddled by the “mountain effect” that makes reading the greens extremely difficult. Last, but not least, the seemingly ever-changing canyon winds are the “X-factor” adding to the difficulty of mastering the course.
