Best Buddies New Mexico

Nathan loves to build ideas into realities and to make things happen. Highlights of his career include opening up a new location for a famous San Diego donut shop, helping over 100 people with disabilities find work through the California Department of Rehabilitation as well as New Mexico Commission for the Blind, and delivering inclusion to New Mexico through his current employer Best Buddies. Inclusion successes of Best Buddies under Nathan’s leadership include achieving the highest average participant wage and hours worked per month out of any Department of Health Developmental Disabilities Supports Division contracted agency in the state, hosting three community inclusion events, and creating sixteen new school chapters where students with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities are matched in one-to-one friendships. Nathan is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, veteran traveler of 49 countries, and enthusiastic new member of the Hispano Chamber of Commerce. 

Bhava Yoga Studio

BHAVA YOGA STUDIO, centrally located, is a destination yoga space in Albuquerque’s East Downtown (EDO) area where, since 2006, students can practice and study alignment-based yoga. With a beautiful and welcoming space for students to learn from the experienced, dedicated and passionate teachers who have over 100 years of combined teaching experience, there is something for everybody. Bhava’s teaching staff helps guide students to feel better in their bodies, get in shape and experience the transformative effects of the practice. 

Bhava is committed to maintaining the highest standards and, as a Yoga Alliance registered school, Bhava trains and certifies new yoga teachers through their 200-hour Teacher Training and the new 95-Kids Yoga Training programs. Our teacher trainings are highly regarded and are offered every Fall with a faculty and staff that are amongst the best in the business.

At Bhava there are classes throughout the day that students can fit into their busy schedules. Classes range from Yoga for Strength to Advanced Yoga and Qi-Flow to Yin and restorative yoga.  There are specialty classes such as Yoga for Breast Cancer Survivors, Yoga Basics, and fun Kids and Family yoga classes too. 

New Students are always welcome and can explore Bhava’s many offerings by taking advantage of the introductory offer to try 30 days for $30.  Bhava’s members have unlimited access to all on-going classes. In-Person and online, discounts on specialty classes and workshop and free trainings throughout the year.

Hollow Spirits

Hollow Spirits Distillery is family owned and operated by mother/son duo Donna Salas and Frank Holloway.  Their goal is to put New Mexico on the map for craft distilled spirits, like their Red96 Bourbon whisky.  They use locally grown red corn for their flagship Red96 Bourbon and source as many local products as possible.  When you visit the Hollow Spirits pour room in the old Wells Park community you will experience the expertly created craft cocktails made by their skilled mixologists.  Not only that, you can also enjoy the amazing food creations of Executive Chef Tristin Rogers in their full service restaurant. 

Frank has almost 20 years of experience in all aspects of the liquor industry, including his role as head distiller at Hollow Spirits. His main focus is family and community. Hollow Spirits and the Hollow Spirits family has been involved in the community since before they opened their doors. Their involvement includes: neighborhood cleanups, donations to organizations like Healthcare for Homeless and Pink Warrior House, volunteering at Saint Martins and other organizations, and partnering to help other new businesses as they get going, just to list a few.


Donna has about 35 years of experience in project management, finance, and real estate facility management and construction. Her focus as CFO is on the finances. But another important aspect is the fun part in the planning, construction, and project management.
