The business community throughout the country is comprised of businesses of all shapes and sizes, full of visionaries and entrepreneurs who want to make a positive impact for their stakeholders and communities. It is the small businesses, however, that are the backbone that drives our country’s economic engine. Small businesses often have the most potential for growth, but are often the most vulnerable in the highly competitive world that we live in. The challenges they face daily can make or break their ability to thrive and succeed. Without the staff and resources at their disposal that many larger businesses have, it is vital that they have an advocate that they can turn to for support.
Since 1975, the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce has grown to the be the largest Hispanic Chamber in the country and has served a critical role for the small business community in Albuquerque and the state of New Mexico. Although the Chamber has traditionally supported Hispanic owned small businesses over the years, the Chamber has expanded its role to non-Hispanic owned small businesses in support of the overall mission to promote economic development, growth, opportunities, and workforce in our community.
I encourage you to explore the vast array of services and assistance that the Chamber offers to its members and supporters. The staff and executive officers of the Chamber are well equipped professionals who can provide resources, education and programs designed to help you accelerate your business. In addition, the Chamber, along with its experienced Board of Directors, are working hard to promote a fair and equitable business climate that allows small businesses to succeed.
